Below is guest feedback from events I have managed and planned in the past two years! These events ranged from 50-300 people, including Rehearsal Dinners, Bar Mitzvahs, Fundraisers, Weddings, and Auctions. 

Wedding Ceremony & Reception

Fire House KC was the first wedding venue we toured last fall, and we fell in love with the historic charm of the space. Molly had just started as the venue manager at that time and she has been such a pleasure to work with throughout this whole process. She's organized and always responsive to emails.

Non-profit event

The nonprofit where I work had a lovely donor event at this venue. Molly, their Venue and Event Manager, did a wonderful job and was super easy to work with, too! We look forward to booking another event with them next year.

10.3.2024 was the best day ever!!! Firehouse KC was the venue of our dreams!!! My dad was a firefighter so it held sentimental value to us! Molly was SO helpful during the whole wedding planning process and answered every single question I had! I couldn’t recommend Fire House KC enough :)

Wedding Ceremony & Reception

Fire House KC was the perfect venue for our November wedding. We were drawn to its timeless appeal, and it was the perfect size for our smaller wedding (about 90 guests). The getting ready area upstairs had plenty of room for everyone with great natural lighting. Our ceremony was held outdoors in the courtyard, and the area was absolutely gorgeous during the fall season. The reception area was just the right size for everyone to mingle and dance. Micro Wedding Reception

I truly cannot express how grateful I am that we found the Grand Street Cafe to have our wedding ceremony and reception at. I had the daunting task of planning my wedding in KC from Houston TX. Molly the venue event coordinator was incredible! She was very responsive, knowledgeable, helpful, and an all around delight to work with! Their wedding package is very extensive and includes so many helpful items. I have to note that the venue has a huge parking lot that requires no cost. . I highly recommend hosting your event with the Grand Street Cafe! They put just as much love and care into the event as I did. We will definitely be back!

Plated Meal, 240 person Wedding Reception

My wedding reception was at Grand Street Cafe at the Plaza and I would pick there all over again if I could! From the second we hired Grand Street, they were flexible, responsive, and personable. Molly was our coordinator there and she made our event the absolute greatest. Our reception had 225 people and plated meals which was a lot of coordinating and planning. Molly never once seemed overwhelmed or annoyed at my constant emails. She never missed any details and was VERY responsive over email to all of my questions. Her responses were quick, accurate, and kind. The night of the event, the staff was very proactive and friendly- from serving the meals, to bar service, to clean up afterwards. We even used the venue the next day for a post-wedding brunch and the staff at GSC worked very hard to make it look in tip top shape just 9 hours after all the wedding guests left. I can't express how incredible it was working with Grand Street and having our reception there. The people are amazing and their food is unbeatable! The space is perfect if you are looking to have an elegant, yet fun time with family and friends. Thanks, Grand Street!

Buffet meal, 170 people Wedding Reception

Grand Street Cafe was absolutely perfect for our wedding reception. Molly, the event coordinator, was great to work with all year answer my (many) questions and so helpful the night of. We could not have pulled it off without her! We opted for a buffet and the food was great. We had compliments from friends after about it! We loved that we could go do the tasting ahead of time, but then even go try a few more appetizers later since some are served on the regular restaurant menu. They also really helped us accommodate a few food allergies for guests. Having the food & beverage services in house and done by a team of professionals also really helped make it stress-free/so much less to coordinate ahead of time. They know what they are doing! We did decide to order additional floor length linens different from what the agreement comes with, and Molly helped facilitate all of the ordering of those as well.  Thank you Grand Street and Molly

2.2022 Corporate party, 200 people

Extremely professional and organized. The Staff was incredible and the food marvelous. Molly made the entire planning process, EASY! 

3.2022 Birthday party, 100 people

Room was set up as agreed and staff was willing to make last minute adjustments on table placement and lights and temps!  Molly did an excellent job in helping us organize snd book this venue! 

3.2022 Corporate dinner, 70 people

The booking process is easy. Molly is very helpful with everything. The night of the event services was wonderful. The staff is very helpful and willing to assist when needed. 

3.2022 Anniversary Celebration, 70 people

The Staff and Event Coordinator were very attentive to all of our requests and details for our parents' 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration. I have already recommended the space to family for a future event. 

5.2022 Rehearsal Dinner, 80 people

Booking process was easy, tasting was a lovely process. Venue was gorgeous. We had a fantastic evening. Thank you GSC for making a lovely evening memorable.

Everything was perfect! It was very easy to set up my rehearsal dinner and the food was fantastic! Staff is very friendly and made the night run very smoothly.
